I have used J-Lar 50mm tape for many years, to seal cases of wine wrapped in polythene sheeting to protect bottle labels from damp and snails in a 450 year old cellar for a minimum of ten years. Without fail, J-Lar tape has remained clear and pliable, and has never lost its adhesive powers. It's easy to cut, and is kink resistant. I've also used 50mm J-Lar frequently on parcels - yes, it's more expensive than brown tape or Cellotape, but it's much, much easier to use. Unlike brown tape, J-Lar can be stuck over an address without obscuring it, and the end result looks neater, tidier and more presentable. Compared to Cellotape. J-Lar is much easier and quicker to use - cut a length and it hangs without curling or kinking or sticking to fingers and clothes (or itself). J-LAR tape is reassuringly sturdy, and doesn't break the way cheap Cellotape does - and finding a lost end is very much easier. Parcels are wrapped quicker and easier, wastage and irritation are hugely reduced, and parcels just plain look neater and tidier. Discovering that J-LAR is available in rolls of 25mm width means that I can now face the challenge of Christmas wrapping with a smile on my face (well, almost).
