The Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Specialists in Adhesive Tapes & Glues
PSA0005 surface primer is ideal for sealing porous surfaces such as: wood, concrete or stone prior to application to prevent moisture degrading the adhesive; it also greatly helps to create an extra bond on other surfaces.
The tin size is 1 litre which covers approximately 5m2, it is simply brushed into place.
This primer increases the efficiency and durability of the tapes applied to it and is especially useful when it comes to being used with anti-slip tapes.
Depending on weather conditions it can be dry in as little as 10 minutes.

- I have a swim spa and want to apply non slip tape to the submerged steps. The water is chlorinated and kept at 30 degrees Centigrade. From your information it looks like your swimming pool grade tape with silicone bead around would do the job. How long would the products need to fully set/harden before I could refill the spa. - Thanks for reading my enquiry. I am looking for a non-slip tape suitable for applying to the steps of a Baptistry pool. The tape would be submerged in water for approx 3 to 4 days at a time, Do you sell such a product, please? - Good Afternoon Dave, and thank you for your enquiry. The swimming pool grade anti slip tape would be ideal for this application, but prior to submersion, I would suggest sealing the edges of the tape with our edge fix product. This prevents water ingress when the tape is submerged for periods of time - Ian, Product Support Manager
- Hi, we are a medical company and have infusion pumps in lock boxes attached to metal drip stands. the weight of the pumps makes the lock box slip down and so nurses over tighten the roller ball clamp and we get cracking of the ABS/PC unit. hoping this will save the day. concerns are around cleaning as bleach solutions used in hospitals to clean equipment - Hellie
- Hi Hellie, The tape should be resistant to any ingress of cleaning solutions, once fixed in place. If you want to make absolutely sure just in case of cross-contamination of chemicals, then you can apply a fine bead of silicone around the edges once the tape is in place. - Hi Kevin, Depending on how porous the ceramic tile is, you may have to prime the surface first to maximise the bond. Thereafter I would recommend sealing around the edges of the tape with a very fine bead of non-gaseous sealant, this will prevent certain chemicals attacking any exposed adhesive - Ian, Product Support Manager

- Hi Jeff Thanks for your enquiry. The anti-slip tape has a high grade adhesive coated to it, and so it is self-adhesive. However if the tape is to be submerged I would also recommend purchasing our edge fix [this product], just to seal off around the edges - Ian, Product Support Manager

Just refurbed our pool and used this tape on tiled steps to prevent slipping. Tape has stuck fast and has made an enormous difference, very grippy.
