What is Magnetic Tape with Premium Adhesive?
Our range of Magnetic Tape with Premium Adhesive are a line of permanent and flexible adhesive magnetic tape, which can turns any surface into a magnetic one - replacing the need for sticky adhesive and push pins with clean, easily removable magnetic hanging.
This magnetic tape is manufactured by mixing ferrite powder with synthetic rubber or plastic (CPE [Chlorinated polyethylene] or [Nitrile Rubber (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene Rubber)] NBR). As a result, this adhesive tape is lead free using strontium ferrite.
These magnetic tapes should be ideally storage in ambient temperature, with a standard atmospheric pressure in a dry area for the best longevity.
This type of magnetic tape has the best flexibility characteristics of any permanent-magnetic material. Consequently, it can be easily folded and twisted without damaging the magnetic property of the magnet.

What colour is the adhesive side, i.e. what colour do you see when applied to clear perspex? - Richard

Hi Richard - the adhesive used on our premium grade is transparent and so the finish would be a very dark brown. We do list a foam backed version that would show as white, typically used for secondary glazing panels Ian, Product Support Manager

Morning Ron, The magnetic tapes are formulated from Ferris material which is blended with a plastic compound to make it flexible. We can supply this product non-adhesive, and in different formats. Used product PSA3000w12 (A) combined with product PSA3000FA (B) to mount 100um polyester film over old wooden windows to create a removable secondary glazing. Tape A bonded well to the smooth polymer film while the foam adhesive of tape B provided good adhesion to the wood Because the magnetic properties of the tapes, they both could be mounted on the window frame before applying the polymer film for a job well done.
