Epoxy Putty Sticks

What is Epoxy Putty Sticks?

Our Putty's are a mix between hand-kneadable and hand-mixable adhesives which can tend to mix quickly in under an hour. Once moulded and cured these adhesive putties have a high bonding strength.

What Are Epoxy Putty Application Uses?

Epoxy putty is used for:

  • Permanent repairs to most plastic surfaces - Plastic Putty
  • Repairs to damp, wet areas and underwater surfaces - Epoxy Putty Aqua
  • Permanent repairs to many substrates - Steel-Reinforced Repair Putty
  • Repairs pipes, tanks and vessels made of copper, brass, bronze and other non-ferrous metals - Copper-Reinforced Repair Putty

Who should use Epoxy Putty?

  • Plumbers
  • Handy repair men
  • DIYers

The mixed epoxy does not show much bond strength at this time; but, can be kneaded or formed into any cracks or holes to be filled.

Once set it will then harden.

Plastic Sticks

The Plastic stick is a hand kneadable, specialty putty that mixes in one minute to provide fast, permanent repairs to most plastic surfaces.

Aqua Sticks

The Aqua stick (B2007) is a hand-mixable, speciality binding material for repairs to damp, wet areas and underwater surfaces.

Steel-Reinforced Repair Sticks

The Steel-Reinforced Repair stick is a hand kneadable, mixes in 1 minute for permanent repairs to many substrates.

Copper-Reinforced Repair Sticks

The Copper-Reinforced Repair stick is a hand-mixable and fast-setting putty that quickly repairs pipes, tanks and vessels made of copper, brass, bronze and other non-ferrous metals.

What is the Consistency of Epoxy Putty?

The consistency is like modelling clay. Consequently, it eliminates drips and runs, facilitates adhesion to the substrate, and allows the material to be shaped as needed before curing begins.

How to use Epoxy Putty?

To use these types of bonding putties simply twist or cut off a required amount from the adhesive stick. Then knead with fingers until you get to a uniformed colour. Once the black colour dye has disappeared - and a uniform pure grey colour is left - apply to the surface to be repaired within 2 minutes of mixing.

The mixed epoxy does not show much bond strength at this time; but, can be kneaded or formed into any cracks or holes to be filled.

Once set it will then harden.

Before you start though, make sure the area where it is applied has been cleaned, and degrease the surface of: oil, grease and dirt. Ideally the surface it is being applied to should be roughened slightly, as this will improve the adhesive bonding.
